As we prepare for an exciting new chapter of our transition into retail cannabis sales later this year, we need to make some important updates to how we process payments.

As of August 18th, 2025, we will only be able to accept cash and debit payments in-store. Unfortunately, credit cards will no longer be accepted. While we understand this may be an adjustment, this change is necessary to stay aligned with industry regulations and ensure a smooth transition into cannabis retail. For a more detailed explanation on these changes, please explore the Q&A dropdown options listed below.
Why are credit cards no longer accepted?
As we transition into retail cannabis sales, we need to follow strict industry regulations. Federal laws limit the use of traditional banking and credit card processing for cannabis-related businesses, so moving to cash and debit only keeps us compliant and ensures smoother transactions.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We’ll continue to accept cash and debit cards for all purchases. Credit cards will no longer be accepted starting August 18th, 2025.
How do debit card transactions work?
Debit transactions are processed just like an ATM withdrawal. This means your total will be rounded up to the nearest $5. Please note: a $3.75 transaction fee will be applied for each debit card purchase.
Does this affect online orders?
Yes, whether you shop in-store or online, payments will need to be made with cash or debit going forward. Debit payments will include the standard $3.75 processing fee.
Will this change again in the future?
As regulations evolve and more banking options become available for the cannabis industry, we’ll explore additional payment methods to make your experience as convenient as possible.
Why make this change now?
We’re preparing for our official launch into retail cannabis later this year, and this adjustment allows us to stay ahead of industry requirements and make the transition smoother for both our customers and our dedicated staff.
We understand that moving to cash and debit-only payments, especially with a transaction fee on debit, may be less convenient, and we truly apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
Please know this change is necessary as we prepare for cannabis retail and as we align with industry regulations. We greatly appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support as we take this important step forward.
We’re excited about what’s ahead and can’t wait to serve you in this next chapter!

It’s interesting to see how payment options can still be limited for certain businesses, especially in industries facing strict regulations. I’ve noticed that many companies are moving toward more flexible, tech-driven banking solutions to overcome these challenges. Using platforms like bankstore ai can really simplify transactions and expand payment possibilities. With modern financial tools, businesses don’t have to rely only on traditional banks — they can manage digital payments securely and efficiently. This kind of innovation makes a big difference for both business owners and customers who value smooth, transparent financial experiences.
