What products does Unwind currently carry?

At Unwind, we now offer a wider range of cannabis options, including:

  • Cannabis flower

  • Pre-rolls

  • THC edibles (gummies, drinks, chocolates, and more)

We’re also planning to introduce vape cartridges in the near future as they become available and compliant in Minnesota.

Our selection continues to grow as new products roll out, so there’s always something new to explore.

What does “inhalables” mean?

“Inhalables” refers to cannabis products that are smoked or inhaled, such as:

  • Cannabis flower (loose bud)

  • Pre-rolls (ready-to-smoke joints)

These products are different from edibles because they are not processed through digestion. Instead, cannabinoids are absorbed through the lungs for a faster onset of effects.

What’s the difference between flower and pre-rolls?

Cannabis Flower

  • Loose, unprocessed cannabis bud

  • You can grind and roll it yourself or use it in your preferred smoking method

  • Gives you full control over how you consume it

Pre-Rolls

  • Ready-to-smoke joints made from ground cannabis flower

  • Convenient, no preparation needed

  • Great for beginners or on-the-go use

Both flower and pre-rolls offer similar effects. The main difference is convenience vs. customization.

How are inhalables different from edibles?

The biggest difference is how your body processes them:

Inhalables (flower & pre-rolls):

  • Effects begin quickly (usually minutes)

  • Shorter duration compared to edibles

  • Easier to control timing of effects

Edibles:

  • Slower onset (30 minutes to 2 hours)

  • Longer-lasting effects

  • Processed through digestion and metabolized by the liver

Many customers choose based on whether they want fast relief or longer-lasting effects.

What should I consider when choosing a product?

When selecting between flower, pre-rolls, or edibles, think about:

  • How quickly you want effects to begin

  • How long you want effects to last

  • Your experience level

  • Convenience vs. control

If you’re unsure, our team is always happy to guide you through options in-store.

Is smoking cannabis right for everyone?

Not necessarily, and that’s okay!

Cannabis affects everyone differently, and inhaling it (through flower or pre-rolls) can come with different physical experiences compared to edibles.

Some people enjoy the fast onset and control, while others may find smoking irritating to the lungs or simply not their preferred method.

Factors like your tolerance, body chemistry, and overall health can all influence how cannabis, and its consumption method, feels for you.

🚨If you have any underlying health conditions, sensitivities to smoke, or concerns about how cannabis might affect you, it’s always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional before trying inhalable products.

At Unwind, we believe in helping you find what works best for you, whether that’s flower, pre-rolls, edibles, or choosing not to use certain products at all.

The addition of flower and pre-rolls alongside our edibles lineup gives customers more flexibility than ever to find the right cannabis experience for their lifestyle. Whether you prefer smoking, pre-roll convenience, or the long-lasting effects of edibles, Unwind is here to help you find what works best for you.

The article above has been updated for 2026. The previous version, published in November 2025, is available below for reference.

On June 5, 2025, Minnesota took a major step forward in launching its adult-use cannabis market by holding its first-ever cannabis business license lottery.

Overseen by the MN Office of Cannabis Management (OCM), the drawing determined who will receive the first wave of licenses to operate legal cannabis businesses across the state.

A total of 249 licenses were awarded through the lottery, selected from a pool of 776 qualified applicants who had met the state's criteria. The licenses spanned several business types, including cultivation, manufacturing, mezzobusinesses (a hybrid license allowing limited cultivation, processing, and sales).

A key focus of this lottery was on social equity applicants—individuals from communities historically impacted by cannabis prohibition. Many of the awarded licenses went to veterans, low-income individuals, and residents from areas disproportionately affected by past drug enforcement policies. This move reflects Minnesota’s commitment to creating an inclusive, restorative cannabis industry.

At Unwind we take product compliance seriously! Although our team is ecstatic about the opportunity to sell recreational cannabis flower, we’re committed to keeping things legal, safe, and stress-free for our customers. We are look forward to earning our retail license and adding flower to our lineup as soon as we are able.

Be sure to check back for updates about the next steps for Unwind in our licensing journey!
